The organizational structure of Soldiers to Statesmen Foundation is meant to provide an example as well as serve as an affirmation to the principles, core values and operational guidelines upon which Soldiers to Statesmen was founded.  From an operational perspective organizational structure of Soldiers to Statesmen Foundation is designed with the overall goal of matching skills to tasks.

Personnel Plan

In this section the personal plan for the administrative staff of each Soldiers to Statesmen Foundation chapter is outlined.   From a developmental perspective administrative personnel are picked amongst graduated scholarship awardees and developed internally.   This approach towards obtaining administrative personnel serves to both ensure continuity of mission and message as well as realize maximization of organizational learning and subsequent organizational efficiency.  Moreover administrative personnel will reside at the facility to provide scholarship awardees 24 hour access to administrative staff as well as ensure timely response to challenges / issues that quite often do not lend themselves to regular schedules. Conducive to the Soldiers to Statesmen Foundation personnel plan is the fact that each chapter facility will act as training facility to develop the necessary administrative personnel.  Each Soldier to Statesmen Foundation chapter will have standard personnel assigned to it.  Each Soldier to Statesmen Foundation chapter will have the following administrative personnel:

 

  1. Facility Director

  2. Lawyer who specializes in Academic Law

  3. Lawyer that specializes in Intellectual Property Rights

  4. Representative from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education

 

Organizational Management Style

From an organizational management perspective the Soldiers to Statesmen Foundation operations draw from the structural, human resource, political and cultural organizational management models.  Ideally, where times permits during the planning phase or any course of action a more horizontal organizational management frame work is utilized where input from all members of the foundation is equally considered.  Such an approach ensures that not only all operational aspects are considered as well as ensure maximum buy in from all invested parties.  After a course of action has been determined in the execution phase of a plan of action the organizational style takes on a more structural format.
